HELIX RULE
if a solenoid is gripped by the right hand with the finger pointing the direction of current flow, the outstretched thumb will then point the north pole.
END RULE
if a solenoid is gripped by the right hand with the finger pointning the direction of current flow, the outstretched thumb will then point the north pole.
RIGHT HAND RULE
if a right hand bottle opener cork screw is assumed to be along a conductor so as to advance in the direction of current flow, the motion of its handle indicates the direction of magnetic flux produced around the conductor.
CORK SCREW RULE
if a right handed bottle/opener cork screw is assume to be a long conductor so as to advance in the direction of current flow, the motion of its handle will indicate the direction of magnetic flux produced around the conductor.
FLEMING'S LEFT HAND RULE
if the first and and second finger and the thumb of left hand are stretched in such a way that they remain mutually perpendicular, and the first finger points the direction of magnetic field and the second finger points direction of applied e.m.f., then the thumb point the direction of motion of the conductor.
FLEMING'S RIGHT HAND RULE
if the first and second finger and the thumb of right hand are stretched in such a way that they remain mutually perpenticular, and the first finger points the direction of magnetic field and the thumb points the direction of motion then the second finger will points the direction of induced e.m.f in alternator or generator.
LENZ'S LAW
the direction was of induced e.m.f. and current is such that it always oppose the cause producing them. the direction of induced current oppose to the direction of applied current.
